I have taken a lot of kickboxing classes, pre-injury I used to take Tae Bo classes 3 times a week. Post injury I am taking LA Boxing classes 3 times a week.
There are a TON of kickboxing classes and it is important to find on that fits your style!
If you find something that works for you, you are more likely to go to class and have FUN as opposed to be miserable for a hour.
Here is a simple chart to compare “logistical” issues for each class:
| LA Boxing | Tae Bo |
|

Find a workout that fits your style! I must say I have REALLY gotten into punching a bag at LA Boxing. It just feels good to make contact with something!
Have you taken either workout class?

I have taken Tae Bo, and I have to admit that I’m not a fan. I look like an idiot trying to do them moves.
My older sister and I use to Tae Bo…and we had so much fun. Thanks for all the details about the differences between La Boxing and Tae Bo. Very infomative
I used to love Tae Bo but then it got too easy for me! It was a great workout for a while though.
LA Boxing sounds like a really great workout.
WOW those sound awesome!! I love kickboxing. i like boxing more than taebo tho!
where do you do LA boxing? I mean I’m broke currently but I’ve always wanted to try boxing. Do you still do Tae bo at the gym?
I have tried neither, but from your comparison it looks like TAE bo may be interesting.
I have not tried either of these. I’m big into running away from fights not facing them haha so I have no ability to punch!

At my gym here in Detroit, there is a Bag Boxing class, but I have not tried it. I do love Kickboxing and Tae Bo and probably don’t do it enough. I am always very sore after! I think either workout is a great x-training workout!
I haven’t tried either actually, but the LA boxing sounds awesome! We do have a pretty killer kickbox class at LVAC where I go. makes me feel strong!
It is really fun to hit something every now and then. =)
