Tea Bagging

Yesterday my throat was feeling a tad bit scratchy so I made sure to stuff my backpack with my favorite throat soothing teas.

I headed over to Au Bon Pain in the Commons (campus dining area)  and took advantage of their hot water to make myself a cup of tea.

After I was done, I was walking back to my table when, not 1 but two Commons staff members asked if I was going to pay for my drink.

I suppose it is uncommon to carry around your own tea bags, but it does save money!

During the fall/ winter season I drink green tea every morning. Sometimes even twice a day when I am feeling a bit under the weather.

Green tea contains epigallocatechin gallate EGCG a powerful anti-oxidant! It also has less caffeine than green tea!

I will leave you with my look if the day:

HOTT! I know!

Yeah, Tropical Strom, no biggie.

Let’s hope my green tea habit helps me stay cold free this seasons and stays off my criminal record!

Will you be going Green this fall/ winter season?

Aww, Sana you look so cute with your glasses and rain get-up. I always get super awkward and conspicuous when I take hot water when I have my own tea bags…I’m so not used to breaking the rules. I applaud your boldness, and I’m sure that they won’t mind. Have you tried using your own thermos? The issue may be the cup, sometimes they have to count cups for the end of the day and they might need to charge for the cup.

  2. I’m a fan of green tea- it’s usually how I start my morning at home and the coffee waits until later at work if I need it.

Yogi detox is one of my favorites- but I’m a cheapster and only get it every once in a while…

I carry my own tea bags everywhere! I’m able to bring a tall class of tea to class for less than a quarter! And I also adore that throat comfort. So good! I wish we could share a cup of tea…I think we would have a lot in common!
