That would be me yesterday. Err the day before yesterday, seeing as it is 12:44am now. Oh well.
Reasons for that face?
All before noon on Friday, I ripped my jeans getting them on. I left my study notes for my physics exam at home. And I did not get to the last 2 problems of the exam because I was stuck on a relatively easy question.
Sigh.
Moving on to today (yesterday).
Post-volunteering at the homeless shelter I took myself to the gym. I figure ripping my jeans is a sign that I need some cardio in my life.
I did the not- elliptical. This machine went out and back and less in a circle……… anyways. Twenty minutes in I was a done, I did some abs and then ran a mile outdoors.
Perks of being an ab crunch instructor? I do my own workout on myself.
Fun thing about running outdoors? I can watch my shadow run. I like the way my ponytail bounces back and forth.
Oh and I ran a mile in 12 minutes. Yeah, no shame in a slow time!
Post-shower, I feasted.
Today’s lunch is brought to you by Trader Joe’s and Costco.
Basically the two most amazing places on Earth, because they give out free samples!
Tj’s Naan with Eggplant Garlic spread I just toasted it all together for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Nice and crispy.
Topped with 2% milk Mexican blend cheese ( you can even replace the eggplant spread with pizza sauce)
Costco greens with walnuts, strawberries, cranraisins, fetaaaa and balsamic dressing.
Pita sea salt puffs? Also from Tj’s. They were a bit too small for my dipping likes.
The star of the meal? Cilantro and Jalapeño Hummus from Tj’s. This stuff is SO amazing. It does not even last a full day in my house.
This meal rocked my face off.
Are you a Costco and/or Tj’s lover?

I’m all about both! Costco gives you tasting times and TJ’s makes Red Pepper and Tomato soup!!!
I adore Trader Joes…but they don’t have them here in Austin. It makes me so so sad! I’m sorry you had a rough day on Friday…but I’m glad that you were able to eat some good food, exercise and volunteer. All great and good things! Thank you for sharing. I hope your week is full of hope and joy.
That pizza looks amazing. I wish I had a TJ’s nearby. I’m going to be in DC for a day Tuesday. What should I do???
