I have spent the past three days traveling to all parts of the MD, VA and D.C area! Today I made my way to D.C!
Yes, I drive like a Granny. Don’t hate.
This is the 2nd Sunday in a row that I have traveled to D.C, and it was a smooth metro ride!
After a 20 min metro ride we arrived in Chinatown!!
Thankfully Rosa Mexicano was right across the street from the metro station, and I did not have to go searching for it!
My sister and I met up with Amanda, she and I had been tweeting and e-mailing back and forth about meeting up for D.C restaurant week! With sooo many places to choose from I am so glad Amanda choose Rosa Mexicano, everything was fantastic!
I loveee meeting up with bloggers, they are the perfect strangers. You have tons of things in common and the conversation never stops!
Since, I don’t have a daily coffee habit, I kicked things off with a slightly fancy drink. It was super yum, but slightly bitter..
I have a huge obsession with French toast, so I knew exactly what I wanted to order and they did not disappoint!
My sister’s order was my favorite- we had both never had the combination of a poached egg on top of a crab cake, the sauce totally made the dish and we shared both meals!
Thanks, Amanda for a lovely Sunday brunch!

I have “eaten” there before! It’s the home of the frozen pomegranate margarita!!! Haha! I’m glad you enjoyed your meal. And I love your pictures of Chinatown!
Next time you go to Rosa, you must order the guacamole. They make it right at your table and serve with fresh tortillas and chips. Oh myyyy…!!
It was so awesome meeting you and your sister! We should meet up again soon, and maybe even try dinner at Rosa Mexicana – I just keep hearing amazing things about the guac. I’ll be posting later tonight, is it cool if I share your pics? Thanks for coming downtown Sana!
Rosa is so delicious! I’m meeting a friend for dinner in Chinatown on Wednesday and will have to suggest going there. Yummmmm.
Ooh great looking food. Is that supposed to be Mexican cuisine? Or fusion?
I love Joe Squared in Baltimore…such good pizza! And the Bolton Hill Cafe is amazing too. I lived one block away from it and taught at the school across the street! Thank you for sharing your trip to DC with me. Your french toast looks amazing! I hope you have a great week, love!
Ooh I just love reading these posts about D.C.! I can’t wait to see where I’m going to end up living – VA, MD or DC. It’s so up in the air.
The food looks great! Have fun at Baltimore restaurant week!
I drive like a granny too. Someone has to be the safe driver in my family :)
