Meet lunch! I decided to cook new-to-me grain, Quinoa for the first time. I microwaved it as per directions on the back in some vegetable broth.

I clearly ran into some problems….
But I did end up with a meal. A steamy meal at that. It was good, but lacked some serious flavor, I was hoping that the Indian Simmer Sauce would kick it up a notch. But no.
Post-lunch I got dressed for a fun evening out, being at a higher weight, I find it difficult to put together outfits that are flattering and comfortable.
I usually roll around in sweats, but today I decided to kick it up a notch!

I felt comfortable and pretty in this outfit all evening long! Win-win!
My friend and fellow foodie Kelli and I headed into downtown Fell’s Point to celebrate Baltimore Restaurant Week at Mezze a Mediterranean restaurant.

The inner harbor looked so beautiful as the sun was starting to set. This was my first time going to Fell’s and I instantly fell in love with the quaint area. Cobblestone roads? Not so much.
We finally made our way to Mezze after walking in the wrong restaurant…
(Picture taken from the Mezze website) We sat on the cozy second floor.
Anddd the feasting began! We both went with the restaurant week tasting menu, I went with the veggie and Kelli got the meat.
All in all it was a great idea because we got to taste so many amazing things!
The hummus was easily my favorite item of the night, I have never tasted hummus SO good!
I loved everything I tasted except the fried calamari, which just tasted fried.. ..their is only so much fried food you can eat.

Holy falafelll!
Dessert was hands down BEST course of the evening. It took us to places we never knew even existed. Manyyyy foodgasms ensued. ![]()
We clearly dominated. Can I go back?
I love restaurant week because poor college kids clearly can’t afford to eat like this every week!
I also took in DC restaurant week last weekend, check out my recap!

Microwaving quinoa? You are brilliant! I’m too lazy to cook it on the stove so I never make it…I will definitely try this! Thank you (and TJs) x100000000
I love that outfit – I think you look awesome.
Quinoa takes awhile to master. Or at least it did for me. For some reason it seems harder too cook than rice, even though its practically the same.
All that food looks so good I dont even know what to comment on. I cant get over than hummus though, it looks so smooth. How is that even possible?
That dress you’re wearing looks sooo cute on you! And that hummus looks so creamy, yum.
Things I want from this post: hummus, falafel, baklava, calamari and grape leaves. Swoooooon. Looks so delicious!
I love your outfit!! I would love to partake in restaurant week, but it coincided with the first week of school, and I didn’t want to spend the hour to drive to LA
