Back in December 2009 I was ay my highest weight ever at that time (156)
By April 2009 I was back to my happy weight (145)
This is not a weight loos blog, but the point of this post is that numbers don’t matter.
Today at 171 lbs, I still enjoy being active and I think I look just as great. My life long goal is to be healthy and active, and if I happen to stumble across my happy weight so be it!
Imagine my delight when I set a fitness record! I biked 10 miles! It was ROUGH, hills on a bike are hard. Going downhill is too much fun!
Thankfully I had a bike buddy and Miluska joined in on the biking fun, we biked at a chatting pace, and never really ran out of things to talk about!
I bought my bike with I was 10 years old from Toys R Us, it’s still going strong!
I was so determined to hit exactly 10 miles on my Garmin, it felt amazing to see that number on the screen and I knew I had earned it!
The best part of Columbia is all the lakes you can bike to and around, they are all connected with sidewalks, bike paths and dirt roads so you are never biking with cars.
I do have to say, in between biking and the occasional running that I do, I have a blast exploring Columbia on foot and on bike.
The best part of being active? Getting fuel for more activities!!
Post bike adventure, I was starving!
I fueled with some Salmon, basmati rice and some chicky peasss!
Oh and a bowl of ice cream, the carton was almost empty so of course I had to finish it up.
Good thing I biked 10 miles!!

Please come to massachusetts to teach me how to ride a bike.
Please blog about your attempts to learn how to ride a bike. In fact, do a vlog!
Please also come to Arlington to teach me how to ride a bike. And how to be able to afford one so I can learn.
You’re awesome!
LOL i bought my bike from the toy section, it was like 50 bucks……bahahaha still awesome 12 years later! We need to meet up!
Please buy me a bike. Mk? Thanks.
I think your fabulous at any weight. Stupid numbers, I loathe them.
Yeah! $50 bucks at Toys R Us!
I think it’s great we all can realize a number doesn’t matter. Enjoying life does!
You would think enjoying life would be easy, but no. Everyone struggles with this simple concept!
I want a bike! I think focusing on leading a healthy, active life is more important than focusing on weight. It’s a lot more fun anyway!
I have FUN being active in more ways than one ;)
The chick peas look amazing – do you have a recipe for them? What is in there. My family eats a vegetarian diet and I am always looking for fun ways to cook beans. Thanks, Enjoying your blog!
Yay! This is the only one I have on my blog, but you can look up channa masala recipes!
