Where is the fire?

I am not sure if it is the summer heat or what, but everyone seems to be in a rush these days.

On the road we drive as fast as we can to get to point A to point B, bypassing others who really just don’t get the message.

In the kitchen, we make dinner as fast as possible to feed the hungry masses before they eat you alive.

In our minds, we want to lose those last 5 or 20 pounds as fast as possible because you can’t start “living” until you are at the perfect weight.

News flash, we are rushing through life, for no good reason.

So why not slow down and have a smoothie.

Live life in the slowwwww lane.

Or just make this smoothie that my mom made for me today and jump back into the fast lane.

  • 1/2 cup fat free milk
  • 1/2 cup fat free vanilla yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 6 strawberries
  • 1 mango
  • 3-4 ice cubes

Blend and enjoy!

so true! I am always rushing to get through the events of my life rather than savoring and cherishing them as I should. Must work on that. Thank you for the reminder!

Exception: my massage yesterday. Definitely wasn’t rushing that :-)

ooo, but they are SO wonderful. totally respect that it’s not something you’re comfortable with though. I on the other hand could seriously have one every day and be VERY happy. haha ;-)
