Yesterday, while I was busy running around setting up a printer, I decided to pay attention to what I was eating. Usually I eat what I want when I want and fasting did not help either.
Meals at 1am and 4am where no big deal and I fell into the habit of mindless eating.
Yesterday, I decided to put an end to mindless late night eating.
I ate dinner at normal business hours with my family, my mom tossed up a Costco Salad with some salmon made with Lemon Pepper Seasoning, Garlic and some Rotisserie Chicken seasoning? Is this another chicken of the sea joke???
Even with the weird dressing of the salmon aside, the salmon was fantastic!
After dinner I treated myself to the last of the Eid dessert, I like to stretch out the holiday season by making the desserts last as long as possible, but the time has come.
I mixed up my two favorite desserts, Toll House Crumb cake that I made from scratch with my mom and sister and some sheer khurma that I mixed together. It was the perfect combination.
Oh with a side of diet coke, and I was done and perfectly happy. No late night brownies, no nothing.
For someone like me who loves to eat, eating at random hours is no big deal, however if I just pay a tiny bit of attention to not randomly go off on a craving I can end eating during normal business hours and start over the next day.
Now I am off to get ready for my baby sister’s birthday lunch, she is turning 18 tomorrow but my brother is leaving for college today so we are celebrating a day early!!!!
