My Alien Friend

Meet my alien friend, he is super fun and squishy!

My lab professor must have known we would be stressed out in lab this semester because she bought us each our own stress balls. And boy was I stressed, labs are super stressful because the experiments are not perfect, no one knows what they are doing and we are working with such small concentrations that things can get misplaced.

For 4 hours in lab, I was stressed, I did not understand the protocol, I lost a tube of DNA, my lab group messed up on our paper.

It was stress, I told my lab partner that I am going to need therapy once I got out of college.

I may be a scientist, and sometimes I feel like I know what I am doing and sometimes I just don’t.

Since I was super stressed from 4 hours of lecture, 3 hours of lab and teaching a group fitness class. I only ate one meal. I was too tired to even eat!

Once I got home I warmed up some pasta with some leftover kabobs and some reduced fat cheese-its.

And I crashed into bed with a night of trashy TV, Grey’s and Private Practice anyone???

Today, I woke up at 7:30 after a few snooze sessions, and I decided to spruce up for Friday.

Sorry for my make-up free face, it’s 8 am!!!!

My 9am snack in class, diet peach Snapple and a side of trail mix, the perfect in class snacks!

So my final year in college, I have become a coffee drinker. I used to get super sick from drinking coffee, but now I mix decaf and caf, and my tummy is perfectly fine.

Breakfast #2 was a coffee and a bagel at work, oops work blogging!

Thankfully my on campus office job is super chill,  but I better chugg my coffee and get back to work!

Happy Friday!

What is your campus job? When I was in school, I worked as a cashier at the student union coffee, sandwich place. It was great pay for a part time job, but I had to be on my feet all day and no laptop or reading was allowed at the counter. I wasn’t even allowed to have water at the counter!
