But the only thing that has changed from my diet has been removing fructose/sugar and it had an immediate effect. Your possibly sounds like it&#039;s from the fibre from the beans and vegetables (broccoli etc??) then?.</description>

Like you I have really bad issues with bloating etc (although veggies and I seem to get along). So at the moment,  I&#039;m currently on the journey to quitting sugar and I think the FODMAP theory/food is basically about the effect sugar has on our bodies (I believe people who are usually on the FODMAP style of eating have something called fructose malsorption which means their bodies can&#039;t absorb the fructose part that is in most sugars)

Since I have reduced the amount of fructose/sugar in my diet over the last 2-3 weeks - the biggest thing I have found is that my bloating has all but disappeared. I feel lighter, no energy slumps and I&#039;m on my way to not being addicted to the sweet stuff.

You might want to have a read around and see if this is something that makes sense to you and perhaps be the cause of your discomfort. Or, maybe for a week or so, try reducing the amount of sugar (including fruit) in your diet to see if that helps!</description>
