On Saturday, I took a Sana day.
I started off with a Starbuck’s low-fat frap
and a discounted Larabar, for some pre-workout fuel.
I warmed up with a 10 minute brisk walk outside my house and I came inside to do some pushups, lunges, squats and abs.
After I finished up with my mini workout, I rushed to eat a salad before heading over to the salon for some spa treatments.
I will be the first to admit that I have terrible skin, I don’t really do anything to my face and it shows. So I went and got a facial. Yes, it was expensive, but I am determined to look my best for the 23rd year of my life (and that includes eating healthier).
And just because having clean and healthy skin is important.
I realized that I needed to relax more often because amidst the soothing music, dark room and a shoulder massage, I was laying down stiff with my arms clenched.
I had to remind myself to relax and to enjoy the experience.
Really, Sana you have to pay people to relax?
After all my black and white heads were removed (ew), my smooth face and I enjoyed a gel color manicure. The $35 was well worth the fast-dry, I loved not having to wait for the polish to dry, and since I got a French manicure I can just let the polish grow out without having to come back in.
After my relaxing day I went to a dinner party with my parents.
Dinner plate:
I only had one serving of dinner, ( that is a record for me). Biryani, kabobs, samosa with naan and yogurt.
I guess, I was in a bling-y mood.
I also “barrowed” my sister’s SUPER bling-y ring.
It’s a good thing I had some nice nails to show off.
I really want to keep up with the skincare so I made another appointment to go back for a facial in 4 weeks. And I will have one more 4 weeks after that, that way I can have skin that looks some what presentable. I realize that beauty treatments for me personally, are a lot to keep up with. But looking good does not have to be for only one reason only, I know when I take the time to take care of myself, I feel better about myself and I am certainly more relaxed.

I just had some spa time this weekend also and I was in major need of some me time. Going to the spa is a good habit to keep up..I’ve never had a facial but I’m putting it on my list of things to do.
I am glad I got a facial, it’s hard to drop that sort of money on something you can’t wear or eat. But it’s important.
I am in DESPERATE need of a facial. I’ve been scouring all the group deals for a good price on one, but have yet to see anything. Your skin is glowing!
For $65 I better glow!
You look so beautiful! I love SPA DAYS! Expensive? Yes, but worth every penny :)
I am worth all the $$ :)
