I just want to say that I am totally LOVING the comments on the cupcake giveaway post. Keep them coming, I am getting some awesome ideas.

My readers rule!

Time to recap my 23rd birthday:

I started it off with some breakfast at Panera, and I hopped  drove over to Barns and Noble to pick up a book that I wanted to read.

Next, I cashed in a 15% off birthday coupon at Bubbles and got a Keratin Express treatment (more on that later).

But I am happy with the way that my hair looks, I just can’t wash it for 48 hours….

My birthday dinner was really up in the air, we had to go some place near my brother’s apartment since he had a ton of work to do. So we ended up at California Pizza Kitchen! I really wanted to try CPK, since I have only ever heard good reviews.

Whenever we go out to eat as a family we order 4 dishes and just share with everyone. It works out pretty well.

Five Cheese-Fresh Tomato Pizza (soooo good!)

Kung Pao Spaghetti with Shrimp (my mom loved the crunchy peanuts)

Fish Tacos (my brother and sister ate them and they said they were good, but had too much cabbage)

Salmon with roasted vegetables, my dad was happy that he was able to eat a healthy butter free meal.

And for dessert, my family found a small dessert for us to all share at Wegman’s.

Lemon cupcake with a chocolate covered strawberry and a German Chocolate cake.

It was the perfect amount for dessert for my family since my sister and my dad don’t eat dessert.

Hhahaha, thanks Majid. You bring the brotherly love!

Oh and we had a lovely chat with the Manage of the Montgomery Mall CPK location ( Mr. JJ Kubala), who not only provided excellent customer service but brought me a complementary sundae!

Ahahha, my family is so awkward. My family loved CPK, our only tiny complaint? The booths were a tad squished. I actually crossed my legs to sit up to the table. Maybe I am just too short?

After dinner, I made sure to grab a picture with everyone before we dropped my brother off at his apartment.

We were at CPK till well after 10pm and the mall that the restaurant was located in had closed. So we had a long sketchy walk around the perimeter of the mall to get back to our parking spot. It was super sketchy, and a slightly dramatic end to my lovely birthday.

On to the gifts! I am not a huge gift person, but I loved everything my family got me this year. A cute dress to wear to dinner.

And some eye cream.

I am ready for old age!
