Yesterday, I had a few too many things that ended with the word cake…..ice cream cake… cheese cake.
They were delicious.
But I took a workout break yesterday, and I was ready to get back into it today! Since I am still taking things slowly in the fitness world, I wanted to incorporate biking and jogging into a workout.
I love teaching and taking boot camp classes, so I made up a boot camp just for myself!
All you need to participate:
- Yoga Mat
- Bike (can be 12 years old)
- Running shoes
- Helmet
- Water Bottle
Optional Items:
Amphipod Race-Lite Go to hold cell phone for music. (From RoadRunner Sports)
Women’s RRS Perfect Run Sleeveless to hold keys (From RoadRunner Sports)
I have had both of these products for over two years, and they are perfect for a hands free outdoor workout!
This is another workout I made up for myself in my Jumping Into Fitness Plan, you can also read my disclaimer about posting workouts.
To begin this workout set up a transition area:
(Ignore how messy my driveway is, we just a crazy storm)
Also, map out a loop near your transition point where you can switch on and off from biking and jogging.
My loop was about .25 miles, but you really can pick any distance.
And begin!
I had way too much fun with this workout, and I am way out of shape! But I felt like I could totally do this workout and I did.
I honestly had a blast with this workout, and I can’t wait to increase the distance and increase my fitness!
I am off to get ready for class, I hope you are having an awesome Monday!
What workout did you do today? Do you make up your own mini boot camp workouts?

What fun! Biking sort of scares me… 1 word, cars! But those little exercises seem really fun.
I would never bike near cars, I fall over all the time! We have awesome bike paths all around my neighborhood!
haha. I love that you admit to falling over because I do too. I look like such a novice biker whenever I try.
That workout looks like it would be fun. I like to try to incorporate a mix of a bunch of different exercises on conditioning days.
…although biking is not really my thing.
Hahah biking is not my thing either, I have fallen off one too many times! But it’s a good way to sneak in cardio when you are trying to get back into the swing of things!
