On Friday I taught another fun track workout, walking around a track is not so bad when you mix in different exercises and jog every other lap!
After teaching, I went home to pick up my mom, back in March I bought an Eversave deal for the both of us to get facials together. However we have both been super busy and have been unable go until Friday.
Unfortunately, only my mom was able to get an appointment, but I went with her anyway!
My mom absolutely loved her facial from Setareh Day Spa! I hope mine is just as great.
Funny story, a few years ago, my mom was getting a facial and my sister and I watched her go off into a room with the person doing her facial. An hour later my sister and I came back from an ice cream run to meet up with our mom, when the door to the room that my mom was in my sister and I were shocked to see the lady that came out was not our mom!
Apparently they had switched my mom to another room while we were out, but I can still remember how confused I was when I did not see my mom.
While my mom was off relaxing I popped into a Starbucks down the street for a cool drink and some wifi.
Have you guys tried the Refreshers at Starbucks? I got a free sample of the Very Berry Hibiscus with whole blackberries, it was pretty good! I loved that it was made with green tea extract.
Right next door was a cupcake shop, Cooks ‘N Cakes- I hadddddd to stop in for a peek!
I of course wanted everything! Don’t these cupcakes look amazing?
I decided to buy a mini cupcake for a $1 to see if I liked them, sometimes cupcakes can be just meh- but I loved them!
I decided on three different flavors to split with the family when I got home.
Thanks Mom Vanilla Butter Cupcake Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
20/20 Carrot Cupcake Cream Cheese Frosting with Walnuts
OMG Red Velvet Cupcake Cream Cheese Frosting
The frosting on each cupcake was amazing, but for $3 I expected more cake!!! However, the cupcakes were really good and I will be sure to get some more in the future!
After my cupcake tasting I went for a small 15 minute walk/jog.
My mom and I basically spent the entire day together, I think I am her favorite child!
I am always terrified to run past the geese, so I usually stop and walk slowly past them, I don’t want them to bite my ankles!
I do have to say that I am fully in love with running in my VFF’s, it’s awesome!
So, as you can tell, I usually say yes to dessert! I wish I could eat dessert after every meal, because it is a sweet way to end the day.
I recently received a bag of Haribo Gold-Bears, gummi candy is an awesome replacement for a dessert if you want something sweet.
“You can have 11 Haribo Gold-Bears, the original tasty, fruity, chewy gummi bears, for only 75 calories, giving you enough sweet to satisfy plus energy to burn! In moderation, they can be a nice treat in an overall healthy diet.”
I was a fan of the red bears!
The only thing I am not crazy about is that the gummi candies contain gelatin (usually from pig skin). I do know that some gummi candies are made from a plant based gelatin, so I would love to know more about the source of the gelatin for the Gold-Bears.
Would you like to win your own 5oz bag of Gold-Bears?
-All you have to do is comment below with your favorite dessert AND “like” the HariboUSA Facebook Page. (Comment below once you done so)
