Ramadan Mubarak!

First of all Ramadan Mubarak to all of my Muslim readers! Here is a great article on Ramadan if you are not familiar with the Islamic holy month.

I love these super helpful Ramadan calendars, we know exactly when to start and stop eating.

I am SUPER glad the weather has cooled off a bit as my family and friends are currently fasting for 14+ hours.

Let’s back track to a few days ago:

My ankle felt a tad “funny” it was not swollen, but I decided to take it easy and keep my workouts light.

Since it was around 107 degrees I waited till after sunset to set off on a walk.

Before heading out for a walk, my sister and I had a bit of a “shoe war”, she was being annoying so I hid her shoes andddd she threw mine outside.

We are so mature for being 18 & 23.

Once we got our shoes back we could finally head off on our walk…orrrr watch my sister get in trouble.

Hehehehe.

The walk was muggy and hot. And we smelled like worms when we returned.

On days that I only walk, I usually like to do something extra when I get home. I noticed this workout that Sarah posted:

The Ice Cream Sundae Workout:

It was so much fun! I was a bit shaky during moves 1&2 but I just took my time and held my balance.

Don’t fall overrrrrrr!

Wheeee! Working out is so much fun!

And yes, I did eat some ice cream afterwards.

Yum! This was my first time trying Ben& Jerry’s half baked FroYo and it was really good!

A month or so ago Swanson Vitamins offered me a gift card to try out some products. I was truly overwhelmed with all the health products that were offered sooo I purchased some of my favorite items.

I know I should try out some new items, but I am more confortable with the items I regularly purchase and love. I am not exciting at all.

I got some Clif Bars that I plan on eating at 4 am when I fast. I realize that I am not a kid, but I wanted something smaller.

I was soooooo excited when I received my favorite natural deodorant spray, I normally purchase my small bottle from WF’s but it’s a bit out of the way!

IMG_9443

Checkout how huge the bottle is- I am pretty sure I paid a higher price at WF for the smaller bottle.

I also purchased some lip balm and almond milk.

I am so thrilled with all of my purchases, thank you Swanson Vitamins for the gift card!

I have never purchased food items online, so I am really pleased with how easy it was. The items all arrived within 2 days of my order and in great condition.

Do you ever have “silly” fights with your siblings? Have you purchased food items online before? If so what and from where?

Totally have gotten into silly fights with my brothers before… we used to throw laundry at each other ALL the time, until my brother dropped the entire hamper on my head and broke my nose!

I have been reading you’re blog for awhile but haven’t commented and have been intrigued about Ramadan. (Thank you!) I’ve been reading a bit more about Ramadan, and was wondering if most refrain from drinking water as well though out the day?

I read some do and some don’t.

    Looked like a fun day!

Yes, all Muslims who are fasting for the month of Ramadan are required to abstain from eating and drinking water from sunrise to sunset. Additionally those who are fasting should not partake in “evil”/ impure activities such as fighting, cheating, backbiting ect. ( not that it’s acceptable any other time of the year)

Finally those who are young/elderly or ill do not have to fast and can do an act of charity instead.
I hope that answers your question! Feel free to ask anything else!
      Have a lovely evening!
