I was a bit spoiled with having my running coaches tell me when I should be running or walking during my last interval workout, so I decided to find an app that would do the same thing.
I downloaded the Run/Walk Intervals Timer App for my Android phone. I loved that I was able to set up my entire workout before I left the door. As I was running, I had Pandora on and the music would pause for the app to tell me when to run or walk.
The best part was that I did not have to look at the screen while I was running, I kept my phone tucked into my running belt the entire time. I even took a phone call during one of the intervals and the app continued with the intervals after that.
However, I did not have a very good run.
I was trying out the Moving Comfort Juno Bra on this run and I think it was a bit too tight even thought I was measured by someone in the store. My chest was hurting/uncomfortable while I was running, so after 16 minutes of intervals I stopped and walked back home.
I will definitely use the app again when I do another run/walk interval workout on Tuesday, but with a different bra on.
I also got to test out the foam roller, I had purchased from Road Runner Sports- I love that it is pink! Can you tell that it’s one of my favorite colors?
The foam roller came with an handy dandy guide that really helped out with visualizing different ways to foam roll.
I will spare you the close up picture, but on my left pinky toe I found evidence of a blister that used to be in existence.
I guess this officially makes me a hardcore runner/walker?
Do you use an apps while running? If so, which ones?
