Awesome guest post the other day on SarahFit on the myths associated with green juicing.
I only blend my fruits and veggies because juicers sort of creep me out! What do I even do with the leftover pulp?
Blending is just easy.
I honestly just throw in whatever I have in the fridge (Grapes, carrots, apples, and strawberries), we don’t have a shortage of fruits and veggies at home. The downside to this is that I always forget how easy, and tasty the juices are!!
This is my favorite ‘”green juice” recipe:
- 1 banana
- 1 orange
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 cup of ice
- tiny sliver of lime
The lime adds just the perfect tropical kick!
Bring on the pizza and cheeseburgers! I feel like I don’t do the best job of balancing my healthy meals with the unhealthy ones, since I always find myself gravitating to the unhealthy ones.
But I am making the effort to eat err drink healthy, and boy is it tasty and oh so filling.
Alright, injury update. In my last post on the 22nd I was barely walking around. It really must be a busy time in physical therapy land because I have been injured since Oct 15th and was only able to get an appointment for November 6th.
Well that was exactly 3 weeks ago. For the first 2 weeks, I did nothing but rest. I only moved to work and did it oh so gingerly.
Apparently, rest is all I needed because I started to feel better. I even managed to do two veryyyyy slow runs between 2-4 miles.
I am still going to my physical therapy appointment to see if I can get some work done on my back/core/hamstrings to make sure I don’t get injured again.
I almost don’t care about my pace, because I am just overjoyed to be running and walking pain free again.
I am lucky I get to do this.
Winter running is so attractive….
Reflective vest+head lamp. Safety first!
My first run this week was about 3.22 miles around a 14 minute per mile pace. I really could not care less. I WAS RUNNINGGGGGGGGGGGG!
Today, I did about 2.80 miles
It is good to be back!!!
